The 10-day Hindu festival of Ganesh Chaturthi has just finished, and The Big Picture was, as always, there to document it. The festivities are incredibly colourful, and it all ends on the day of Anant Chaturdashi, when murtis of Ganesha are immersed in (it says on Wikipedia), the most convenient body of water.
Looking at the pictures in the gallery (especially the ones of the immersed murtis), it looks like one huge, massive, fun party.
