Chicken



There is, if you believe New York magazine (and why wouldn't you?), a craze in New York City at the moment for fried chicken. Yup, even the gourmet-est of gourmet eateries are doing the whole Colonel Sanders number.



I can see the attraction: there's a KFC across the road from my station, and some evenings - if the wind is blowing just so - when I walk across the platform I get a whiff of eleven herbs and spices. Looking at the gallery at New York magazine, and thinking about that sea breeze, has me in the mood for some artery-clogging takeouts.
