Portsmouth (and, though it still brings back some dodgy memories, ex-Liverpool) goalkeeper David James (Liverpool fans called him 'Calamity James') has a great blog up at The Guardian (OK, no more brackets from here on) about the financial troubles at Portsmouth. He raises an interesting point: how can a club that's sold £80-million worth of players in the past year be in such dire financial distress?
