Microsoft have just announced the new logo for their retail stores (it's that blocky eyesore up there), and it got me to thinking about a slideshow story I read about the origins of software logos. I still like the good old Apple logo... but I'm astounded at how bad some software logos are.
Mac OS X? What were they thinking? And Linux? Surely the open source community can do better than that!
